The V8 now produces 472 horsepower – a five horsepower uptick over the last version. The Mazda MX-30 borrows a few cues from the CX-30 – the rugged fenders and coupe-like styling in particular. But what the MX-30 doesn't have that its more-traditional counterparts do is a gas engine; the MX-30 is fully electric. The compact crossover uses a single electric motor generating 143 horsepower, paired to a battery pack. Total driving range is 130 miles. There’s now a storage shelf where you’d typically find the engine in a McLaren, which can carry a set of golf clubs. Well, Mini’s latest attempt at electrifying its iconic city car is called the Cooper SE, and it somehow manages to subvert that expectation, to say the least. The vehicle’s range is a disappointingly low 110 miles, while its $29,900 base price is still relatively high. Federal and state incentives may bring its price down, depending on where you live, but nothing will fix its range that, in 2020, is remarkably low compared to other compact electric cars like the 259-mile Chevy Bolt. But for those few people who must have an electric Mini, the Cooper SE now exists. 41 / 52 2020 Mini John Cooper Works GP Status Variant Price $44,900 Mini’s most-powerful model – the 302-horsepower John Cooper Works GP – debuted last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Packing a turbocharged engine, the JCW GP sprints to 60 miles per hour in just seconds and costs $44,900 to start. It goes on sale later this year. 42 / 52 2020 Nissan Sentra Status All-New Price $19,090 The 2020 Nissan Sentra is all-new, with styling that matches other recently unveiled Nissans such as the Altima and Rogue. With the base model producing 379 horsepower, and with assurances fro variants like the upcoming hybrid model of being, the "highest-performing" of all the 911s, there's a lot to still look forward to. For now, the base 911 is already on sale and costs $97,400 to start. 45 / 52 2020 Porsche Taycan Status All-New Price $103,800 Before Federal Rebates The Porsche Taycan is an all-new model for 2020 and becomes this famous performance car brand’s first all-electric car for sale. Based on the well-received Mission E concept car, the Taycan looks like a futuristic Porsche sports sedan on the outside, and its interior is festooned with maybe more screens than any other production car. The Taycan is available in three models – Taycan 4S, Taycan Turbo, and Taycan Turbo S – with each offering increasing levels of performance. More speed, though, also means a higher price substantially so, in this case and decreasing range. Prices start at $103,800 for the 4S, $150,900 for the Turbo, and $185,000 for the Turbo S, while two battery packs are available – one kWh and one kWh. The EPA has certified the Taycan Turbo has a range of 201 miles and the Turbo S a range of 192 miles, while the 4S, which likely has the longest range, has yet to be rated. 46 / 52 2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel Status Variant Price $36,930 The Ram 1500 itself isn't new, but the truck's optional diesel powertrain is. The updated 1500 EcoDiesel arrived in 2019 promising 22 miles per gallon in the city, 32 on the highway, and 26 combined. With the available 33-gallon, the 1500 EcoDiesel has more than 1,000 miles of estimated range. Changes are more noticeable inside with a portrait-oriented infotainment screen. There are two powertrains – gas or gas-electric hybrid. The V6 carries over unchanged. The hybrid uses a four-cylinder instead of the previous gen’s V6. The hybrid's Horsepower is down, but it makes up for it with improved fuel economy. 51 / 52 2020 Volkswagen Passat Status Refresh Price $22,995 Volkswagen didn’t do much to update the Passat for 2020. Instead, the company kept changes to a minimum – LED headlights and taillights, a new grille, and a slightly sloped roofline. Seventeen-inch alloys are standard with 18- and 19-inch units available. Les deux sportives montrent une grande liberté de personnalisation esthétique, et mécanique avec une arrivée sur le marché attendue pour mars 2021. On s’attendait à voir arriver une M4 transfigurée par rapport à l’ancienne version, grâce à une face avant totalement réinventée autour d’une grande calandre double, déjà vue sur la Série 4 classique voir aussi Nouvelle BMW Série 4 Coupé G22 philosophie repensée. Il en est de même pour la M3 qui reprend la même face avant, voulue agressive et distinctive. Cette identité qui colle plutôt bien à un véhicule au tempérament sportif des véhicules qui viennent d’être présentés. Les feux affinés contribuent à donner une allure moderne aux nouvelles BMW M3 et M4 qui arborent également deux nouveaux coloris, dont un Jaune Sao Paulo aux tonalités acidulées. Et de fait, à la lecture de la fiche technique et des spécificités de cette M4 DTM Champion Edition, on se dit que les acheteurs qui parviendront à mettre la main sur un exemplaire 200 pour le monde seront tentés de porter un casque. 3,8 secondesCommençons par le 6-en-ligne bi-turbo de litres qui se distingue de celui de la M4 "normale" par l'adoption de l'injection d'eau directement dans les cylindres. Cela optimise la gestion thermique et permet de gagner de 69 ch, soit ici 500 ch et 600 Nm. Le 0-100 est tué en 3,8 secondes et comme de coutume, la vitesse de pointe est électroniquement limitée. La voiture reçoit en série des freins carbone-céramique ainsi que des pneus Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2, homologués pour la route mais spécialement développés pour le circuit. Les suspensions sont réglables mécaniquement proposent trois choix de setup, tant pour le rebond que pour la compression. Bref, ceci promet d'être l'une de Béhemme les plus radicales de l'histoire. Vous dites? Tout ce que vous venez de lire vous l'aviez déjà lu il y a un an à propos de la M4 GTS, produite à 700 exemplaires? Ah oui mais non, c'est pas du tout pareil.
